Bontera Impact – The microbes in our soil enhancer have been selected for their demonstrated ability to improve plant health and soil quality and productivity. Impact can also be used as a pre-planting treatment, applied directly to seeds or to seedlings at the time of transplanting.

Bontera Foliar I – Our foliar spray is applied to plants to promote plant health. Its organic acids and micronutrients penetrate the microscopic pores, or stomata, of plant leaves, making nutrients directly available to the plants. The microbes in Foliar I help protect plants from diseases.

Bontera’s microbes perform many complex functions in improving plant health and soil productivity, but to sum it up simply, it’s their production of bioactive compounds that drive Bontera’s key benefits.

Increased nutrient bioavailability.

Phosphate, potassium, and other nutrients in the soil are often in forms that roots can’t absorb. When added to the soil, Bontera’s microbes solubilize these nutrients, converting them into readily absorbable forms. Nitrogen-fixing microbes similarly convert atmospheric nitrogen into forms that plants can use. When applied to leaves, the micronutrients and beneficial organic acids in Bontera penetrate pores on the leaves, making nutrients directly available to the plants.

Robust root development.

Specialized microbes promote root hair development, greater root mass, and deeper root proliferation. This increases access to nutrients and moisture throughout the soil, yielding healthier plants and more vigorous crops.

Disease protection.

In addition to promoting healthier plants that better resist disease and other stresses, Bontera’s microbes inhibit the growth of certain soil pathogens, discourage disease-causing nematodes and other organisms from inhabiting the root zone, and when applied to leaves, protect against certain diseases.

Buildup of soil organic matter (SOM).

A vital storehouse of nutrients and moisture, SOM increases soil’s water-retention capacity and reduces nutrient leaching. Bontera’s microbes not only decompose animal and plant material into SOM, they increase the raw material available for decomposition by attracting beneficial soil dwellers and increasing root mass.
